Onboarding for parents-to-be: what is it & why do you need it?

Published 3 months ago • 1 min read

Hi Reader,

If you have a corporate job, you've probably come across the term "onboarding" before. If you haven't, it basically refers to the initial meetings and trainings you get from your manager, other team members or the person who held that same job before, during which they explain how the company works, what your job is about, what to expect, where to find information or help, which mistakes to avoid, etc.

By the end of your onboarding process, you feel empowered and equipped to confidently take on your new job and the challenges that come with it.

So why should you care about this concept as a parent-to-be?

Because parenting is one of the hardest jobs in the world and quitting isn't an option, so you want to make sure you set yourself up for success from the start.

Getting an onboarding as a parent-to-be means that:

  • you feel like you know what you're doing from day 1

  • you have the confidence to know that your voice and instincts matter, even if you're the least qualified person in the room

  • you get much better support from medical professionals around you because you know which questions to ask

  • you remain calm when facing a new challenge because you already know how to handle it

  • you are able to make informed decisions that work in your and your baby's best interest

  • you have the right arguments to dismiss the unsolicited advice you'll be getting (rather than letting it get under your skin and making you doubt every single thing you do as a new parent)

  • you take control of the situation and enable yourself to be your own and your baby's best advocate

Trust us, going into parenthood feeling confident, prepared and empowered makes all the difference.

That's why we're here for you. And why we created the first ever onboarding for parents-to-be.

Wishing you an empowered start to your parenting journey,
